What is Twilight 12’s?
Twilight
12’s is a modified cricket game for women (and
girls) played in 12 overs per innings with only 6 players per side.
We
aim to provide women with the cricketing experience but

can play?
We
invite any women who want to play cricket to give it a
go!
We
cater for all levels of experience and our aim is to
get you out there having fun.
This

that guys have lots more opportunities to play cricket. We are
investigating
the possibility of a Twilight 12’s competition for men in the
following years
to come!

need to worry about bruises
All
you need to wear is comfortable clothing and pair of
shoes with good grip.
Teams
are encouraged to have uniforms or team colours but
this is not necessary.
Are the rules the same as in a normal game of
cricket?
The
basic rules of cricket are the same however in order for
everyone to experience the great game of cricket we have changed the
rules
slightly.
There
are 12 overs per innings, with each player
to bowl one over, 2 players to bowl a max of 3 overs and 2
players to bowl a max of 2 overs.
Batters
will bat in pairs with each pair facing 4 overs
each. If a batter gets out during the course of the 4 overs the batters
will
swap ends and the scores will deduct 5 runs from the teams total
